Basic Leak Search Price:
Are you suspicious your unit is low on refrigerant? Is it freezing up where it shouldn’t be? Maybe it’s running nonstop but still not cooling, or you’ve noticed higher energy bills you can't explain? These are all signs you might need a leak search.​

​What Happens During a Refrigerant Leak Search?

Initial Inspection
We start by visually examining your system for any obvious signs of a refrigerant leak, such as oily residue, corrosion, or damage around the common failure points. -
Leak Detection Wand Scan
Using a specialized leak detection wand, we carefully check the areas most prone to refrigerant leaks. This includes connections, coils, and refrigerant lines. -
Refrigerant Top Off
If no leaks are detected during the scan, we’ll recommend topping off your system with refrigerant to restore its cooling capacity and monitor performance. -
Observation Period
After adding refrigerant, we recommend observing the system’s performance over the next month. If it continues to cool effectively, the problem may have been minor. -
Next Steps (If Needed)
If the refrigerant leaks out within a month, we’ll credit the cost of the recharge toward a more in-depth leak search to pinpoint and fix the issue.

What if the Basic Leak Search Doesn't Find My Leak?
While the basic leak search finds almost all leaks, we do occasionally have to do a deeper search. If we added refrigerant to your system within the past month during a basic leak search, the price of that will go towards a more in-depth search.
