Frequently Asked Diagnostic Questions:
1. Am I going to have to replace my entire system? Not if we can help it! There are a lot of small things that can go wrong with your HVAC, but more often than not, they can be repaired.
2. How much will it cost to repair my system? Unfortunately that's not something we can answer without a diagnostic trip to figure out what's wrong.
3. Is there anything I can check myself before calling? The easiest thing to check is your filter. If your filter is dirty and your system isn't getting enough air, it can stop working!
4. How can I stop my system from breaking again? Changing your filters at least once a season is the best thing you can do. Unfortunately most systems have a lifespan of around 15-20 years and will start needing more frequent repairs, but yearly maintenance may help them last longer.
5. Why is my air conditioner frozen? Your air conditioner might be freezing due to restricted airflow (like dirty filters or blocked vents), low refrigerant levels, or a malfunctioning component like the thermostat or fan.
6. My home is heating fine, why is my power bill so high? A high power bill in the winter might signal that your home is using emergency heat. This could indicate that something is wrong with your primary heat source.
